Modis are working in partnership with a global retailer going through a period of heavy expansion and seeking an established Senior Merchandiser to join their integral marketing team. Based in Welwyn Garden City this is a fantastic opportunity to make a career defining move.

As a Senior Merchandiser, your top 5 accountabilities are:

- The delivery of sales, margin, markdown and stock targets in your area
- The range cascade delivers sales, profit density and space optimisation targets
- Day-to-day events, trade and promotions are delivered in line with the critical path
- Supplier performance is reviewed and exit plans are executed
- Systems are accurate and up to date

Senior Merchandiser Responsibilities:

*Track all category range changes, promotions and great seasonal events to ensure launch targets are achieved within critical path timeline
*Support ranging by presenting accurate line level forecasts for new and continuity product ranges giving Customer driven data its voice in the process
*Deliver product ranges with clear statements whilst maximising sales, profit density and space optimisation
*Validate Merchandising Centre plans
*Deliver budgeted stock and availability targets through managing the Open to Buy process for my area
*Track all domestic and international orders into depot to ensure they meet launch dates, maximising sales, hitting availability targets and minimising markdown including recommendations for minimising air freight costs
*Ensure exit plans are in place, clearing stock through appropriate channels in line with CAYG guidelines
*Review all sub group WSSI forecasts against budget, for sales, stock, margin and markdown
*Respond to changes in trading conditions by identifying risks and opportunities, and recommending a multi-channel response to optimise sales and margin
*Proactively identifies lines that are not performing and recommends action
*Ensure CIE's are logged at the correct level
*Manage the critical path to ensure that deadlines are met, escalating as required
*Proactively manages price basket to deliver trade plans, within Rules Based Pricing, and advocates the effective use of margin mix
