Software Test Team Lead, Maidenhead, Berkshire, £45-50K + Bens. Ideally a Graduate in a Computing discipline you will have a strong background in automated software testing and defect tracking applications with experience of creating test scripts for automating processes.

Ideally you will have experience of setting up test environments and have knowledge of Java SE, applying software design patterns with a full understanding of the SDLC.

Desirables include: Experience of using SQL to create data sets; Knowledge of Java Swing UI and HMI design; Knowledge of AI techniques, rule and complier technologies; Knowledge of Java/Web based design (e.g. using ZK); Knowledge of J2EE and Server based applications; Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

Your principal responsibilities will be to:
Plan, create and execute manual and automated software test activities.
Develop and implement related test plans/cases.
Utilise and enhance the build and test automation architecture.
Manage defects, proactively identifying risks to R&D staff.
Test, troubleshoot, maintain and document aspects of products and solutions in
conjunction with the rest of the R&D group and other groups as necessary.
Assist in testing new revisions, versions and releases of products and solutions;
Handle Product change and release management.
Ensure that all items follow the change management process and are entered and tracked
through the change management software.
Help to progress the technical quality and market leadership of products and solutions
by idea sharing and discussions with fellow qualified R&D staff.
Report of issues, bugs and improvements of products
Assist and coordinate in resolving customer issues.

Other responsibilities
Participate in code reviews.
Help to setup, maintain and troubleshoot local and central IT services as necessary.
Project/development reports.

This Software Test Team Lead position is based in Maidenhead, Berkshire and is paying c£45-50K + Bens, depending on suitability.
