This market leading retailer is looking for an experienced Trading Director to join the Grocery category to lead and develop the commercial functions, including Buying and Supply Chain.
As Trading Director, you have the opportunity to shape and lead the division and earn a basic salary of up to £100k +an executive package.

THE ROLE

The Trading Director will have overall responsibility for the commercial functions of the category, including Buying, Supply Chain, Merchandising and Product Management. They will be managing a high performing team and will develop a market leading category.

This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced senior level, commercial individual to play an integral part in the overall direction of this business, whilst growing their own career substantially. Creating sustainable process improvements will drive year on year progress.

This Trading Director position is a multi-faceted position, getting involved in all aspects of the commercial processes. They will have a large focus on recruiting talent into the team, whilst motivating and inspiring the team already in place.

THE PERSON
The ideal candidate for this Trading Director position would have several years operational experience at a senior level in either retail or ecommerce, within a demanding corporate environment. Ideally educated to MBD level, they should have degree in a either a technical or analytical discipline.

They should have a proven track record of managing and motivating a team, whilst being decisive and having the ability to move at pace to implement ideas. They should be a passionate self-starter with the customer at the heart of all they do.

Must-have skills to succeed as Trading Director include exceptional analytical skills; strong writing and speaking skills; exceptional interpersonal & communication skills; ability to juggle multiple priorities and be a strong influencer.
