A post has arisen for an apprentice IT support person to support a very busy engineering department, located in Renishaw, S21.
The duties will involve the following:
• Supporting our customers via go to assist
• Keeping ‘go to assist’ up to date
• Adding users and e-mail addresses
• Networking
• Operating system support
• System Maintenance
• Testing Hardware
• Accompanying engineers on site visits
• Use of internal systems such as Sage 200, CRM and Spindle
• Set up of software

Requirements:
MUST hold GCSE’s in English and Maths at grade C or above, or hold Functional Skills Level 2. Good communication skills, a strong passion for IT, the ability to use your own initiative, confident and good time keeping skills. Must be able to get to and from Renishaw.
Training:
Level 3 Diploma in ICT Professional Competence, level 3 Certificate in ICT Systems and Principles for Apprentices, Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and Outlook, Microsoft certified Technology Specialist (MCTS), Microsoft Technical Associate (MTA), CompTIA A+ certification, Cisco IT Essentials. The learning provider is Baltic Training Services. Upon completion of the apprenticeship our client hopes to progress you within their business as a fully qualified Microsoft IT Technician, moving onto a salary of around £12,000-20,000 per annum with a host of additional benefits that will set you up for life. You will also have the opportunity to progress to a Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship (Foundation Degree Level) with no student debt! No experience is necessary as full training is given. The employer is looking for individuals, with a strong passion to learn and gain a career within IT.
Hours: 9am – 5pm, Mon – Fri.
Pay: £2.65/hour.
