In this role you will be expected to drive all vehicles, both LGV/Non LGV involved within the RTS operation to allow the control and haulage of sludge/biosolids. You will further operate plant & equipment as instructed & trained, where necessary. The operation of sewer jetting equipment is also key to this role as it is part of a programme of maintenance in order to clear network blockages.

You will provide holiday and training cover to the central team based at Cambridge which will involve planning, controlling and supporting the operations team.

You will be expected to liaise closely with the area RTS Operations Managers, RTS Operations Co-ordinators as well as the RTS Central team.

To allow us to maximise performance, overnight stays may be needed and flexibility to cover for sickness/holidays/vacancies may also be needed. This role therefore requires flexibility as both the cover and support functions within it are to be for all the RTS geographic operating areas.

Requirements
You will hold a LGV C+E licence, and ideally a National CPC or have relevant knowledge of working in a traffic office. You will have a thorough understanding of driver/operator operational knowledge of RTS procedures and equipment. Operational knowledge of Dynafleet is also desirable. A thorough understanding of AWS KISS RA’s and “management of” documents is essential.
