Eden Scotts client is a multinational organisation who are leaders in the development and manufacturing of renewable projects.
A global company, who are not restricted to projects solely within the wind sector.
Due to growth, a need for a Wind Turbine Service Technician has arisen within the Edinburgh region.

The Role:

The successful candidate will report to the Regional Supervisor and will be responsible for electrical and mechanical maintenance and fault findings as directed by the Operations Manager.

Duties will include but not be limited to:
-Carrying out a wide range of mechanical and electrical maintenance duties
-Fault identification and rectification at wind farm sites across your region
-Playing a key role as part of a team of 2-3 wind turbine service engineers, who in turn will supervise 15-30 turbines.
-Blade inspections, main component changes and overhauls eg. Gearbox replacements

The Person:

-ONC/HNC/HND in Electrical engineering is essential
-A minimum of 2 years experience as a Wind Turbine Service Engineer.
-A wide practical experience of working on maintenance of electrical systems and equipment including LV/MV/HV 3 phase systems, ac/dc motors, inverters/converters, PLC hardware and systems, SCADA and HMIs, electrical distribution and switchgear, component level fault-diagnosis on electrical control systems and an understanding of hydraulic systems
-Ideally have experience of Method Statement and Risk Assessments production and use in the workplace
-Working knowledge of UK Health and Safety regulations would be advantageous
-Experience working within the Wind Power industry would be highly advantageous along with an ability to work at heights
-Full current driving license
-A high level of physical fitness is essential, along with being comfortable working in adverse weather conditions in remote locations
-A willingness to work paid overtime and to participate in an on call rota system.

A Salary of up to £35,000 plus overtime and On call allowance will be available for the right candidate.
