An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Leader, for Submarine Solutions supply chain, based in Barrow.

You will use and maintain supply chain's systems, processes and procedures and procure materials within budget, using the Transactional and Major Sub-Contract Process, that meet both the technical and quality specifications, ensuring they are delivered to meet business requirements.

As a Project Leader, your main responsibilities will involve:

Creating and deliver Procurement strategies that ensure that we are procuring equipment to Cost, Quality and schedule requirements.

Demonstrating compliance with the category process by supporting audit activity and performing market research as appropriate.

Requirements to take a leading role with any Supply Chain issues including obsolescence and through life requirements.

Setting the team objectives and the mechanisms to achieve this through, planning and resources, interfacing with functions of the business, including internal and external interfaces.

Identifying and leading on any delinquent activities, reporting progress on a regular basis.

Management of skills to deliver objectives and accountability of project success / failure.

Overseeing the requirements for on-site support to installation and test ensuring budgetary control and adherence to Health and Safety Legislation.

Supply Chain Project Management of equipment through the Life Cycle of Design, Manufacture, FATs (Factory Acceptance Test), Delivery, Installation and Commissioning.

Facilitating and progressing the interchange of data between BAE SYSTEMS Submarines and its sub-contractors in support of design reviews and progressive acceptance.

Responsible for PDR's MPR's & ESM. Leadership of cross functional groups/projects & initiatives.

As a Project Leader, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

You would have sound leadership skills and the ability to lead teams to achieve functional and business objectives.

Good communication and interfacing skills are essential.

MCIPS or equivalent Professional Qualification preferred
