Technical Services Manager (Field Service Manager), required to support the installation, commissioning and servicing of specialist machinery.

With global distribution products are considered market leading in many of its product categories.

Supplying numerous blue chip customers including Tesco, Sainsbury's, Morrison's, Marks & Spencer's and Greggs in the UK as well a number of major overseas clients.

Salary: £28,000 - £33,000 + Car or Car allowance + Pension

The Role: Service Manager / Field Service Manager

Field Service Manager required leading the company's small service team and technical support staff both in the field and through the Technical Support Helpdesk.

The main purpose of the role is to provide a Technical Installation and Maintenance service to for all Equipment Machinery. This includes full Installation and Commissioning followed by Training on Equipment use.

Working with a team of 2 Field Service Engineers and 1 Electrician.

Overall responsibility for installation and Repair work in the UK and some overseas locations, although this would be more a case of co-ordinating locally sourced contractors.

Dealing with customers in person and over the telephone is a key area of this role.

The Candidate: Service Manager / Field Service Manager

Must have strong electrical engineering experience in the following areas machine control systems, including servo & stepper motors, 3 phase and single phase circuits.
Customer facing experience is highly desirable
Machine diagnostic experience
Ideally qualified to HNC level or higher in electrical engineering
Willingness to travel in the UK and overseas (rare) to install, commission and train third parties on equipment.
