Group Procurement Analyst
As an engineering recruitment specialist, we are sourcing experienced and driven individuals for one of our large, engineering services clients who require a Group Procurement Analyst for a 6 month fixed term contract.

With a strong analytical background, the role is to gather and analyse data in support of definition and implementation of the overall strategy.

The client, based in Bristol, is the UK's leading engineering services company, providing support to both the government and private sector, and who are growing at a significant pace.

This client has 40 sites throughout the country, from office sites to large training facilities, and continues to win new, exciting projects, including military and naval contracts.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

* Build an in-depth knowledge of the supply markets for the particular category, including input costs and cost drivers, total cost of ownership (TCO), supply-side and demand-side market trends, regulation, barriers to entry and overall market competitiveness
* Build a deep understanding of the supply base, including their future strategy, growth plans, financial performance and competitive threats
* Gather detailed BU usage and specification data required to produce effective ITT and RFx documentation that can be released to the market, and in support of fact-based negotiations
* Maintain the suite of KPIs and reports required to effectively manage the performance of the pan-divisional contracts

Key Requirements
* Business, Financial, Supply Chain Management, or Technical undergraduate degree (engineering, science, geology)
* Demonstrable post-graduation experience of operating within a FTSE 250 or equivalent organisation
* Proven experience of working with large data sets, building complex analytical models and extracting insightful data
* Basic knowledge of core procurement processes
* Experience of analysing public financial, supply market and supplier data
* Strong analytical skills
* Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
* High levels of business acumen and a keen awareness of current business trends and issues
* Ability to simplify complex concepts and information for presentation to stakeholders at all levels
* Highly self-motivated and delivery focussed
* Interested in pursuing a career in strategic procurement

Please note that successful candidates will be required to undergo security clearance.

To be eligible for this, candidates must have been a resident and worked in the United Kingdom for at least the last 5 years.
