1st Executive are working with one of the UK's leading building contractors who have successfully won a landmark £450 Million new build mixed use project in the heart of London. Working alongside the existing Procurement and Supply Chain team you will be based on site and work in the position of Procurement Manager.

As Procurement Manager you will be the focal point of all procurement/supply chain for the project with the first phase due to last until 2016 however stages 2/3 will be on site until 2019. Undertaking the full spectrum of procurement duties will be responsible for

* Leadership and development of the Supply Chain staff on the project
* Driving major multifunctional Subcontract/Supply packages
* Applying Category Management strategy, working with Category Supply Chain Managers to achieve this.
* Responsible for ensuring compliance to Project & Supply Chain processes & procedures.
* Responsible for creation of (and departmental & project team adherence to) the business/project Supply Chain Strategies. Authorise appropriate selection of Subcontractors/Suppliers. Driving cost reduction on a large scale
* High level/complex negotiations. Identification, selection and management of strategic partners. Leading subcontract and major supply pre-let meetings. Preparing and placing significant subcontract and major material supply orders. Managing and closing out strategic tender and contract negotiations. Closing out contractual documentation
* Finalisation of tender / speculative pricing decisions in association with Work Winning, submission of pre-qualification and tender documents in conjunction with Work Winning. Assessing, valuing and advising on Commercial Risk associated with Supply Chain
* Carries out quotation analysis, evaluation and selection of vendors, presents Tender Reviews / Recommendation Reports to Project/Senior Management Teams. Monitors Supply Chain delivery against Tender Event Schedules/Procurement Programmes
* Delivers agreed savings and performance improvement benefits and is accountable for performance of total supply chain.
* Installs and leads performance management and supplier development programmes. Raises Supplier performance (measurement targets / benchmarking / relationship management/ high level problem solving)

Requirements:
* Track record of delivery acrossLondonbased construction projects
* MCIPS/CIPS Qualified
* A Strong communicator who posses clear gravitas
* Main contractor background ideally with experience working on projects in excess of £100Million
* Proven ability to lead and influence across all levels from clients through to suppliers
