Milk Rounds Delivery Driver, Ashford . This is an excellent opportunity for a Milk Rounds Delivery Driver in Ashford to work for the UK's number one dairy business and a company who believe in encouraging success - business and personal.

Purpose of the job
As Milk Rounds Delivery Driver deliveries are made on a diesel milk float and so applicants must have a full driving licence. Other duties include:

* Maintaining and increasing sales of products to current and new customers
To ensure high levels of customer service are maintained at all times to all customers
To effectively control the operation of the round to which they are assigned with the support of the company functions

Nature & Scope of the Job
* Delivering products to customers 6 days a week (Monday to Saturday) within an 8-10 mile defined geographical radius.
* The role can be physically demanding and the job-holder must be comfortable working in all weather conditions.
* Customer service is key in this role and you need to ensure all deliveries are made on time and in full, protecting the Company brand.

Principal Accountabilities
In the role of Milk Rounds Delivery Driver you will:

* Deliver products to customers on the designated milk round (including 'call backs' where required)
* Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times
* Participate in all Company promotional activities
* Ensure that all deliveries and orders are logged on the ERB (Electronic Rounds Book)
* Collect customer payments and ensure the Company's debt control procedures are followed
* Ensure the rounds account balances and payments are made in line with the Company procedures.
* Increase the number of customers on the round by encouraging traditional residential customer switch to online accounts
* Maintain the necessary levels of stock to ensure that customer demands are met and wastage levels kept to the minimum
* Responsible for ordering products as necessary to meet customer requirements and for loading/unloading vehicles in line with Depot Operating Procedures

Knowledge & Experience Required:
To apply for the role of Milk Rounds Delivery Driver you must:

* Hold a full driving licence with Category B entitlement and a maximum of 6 points
* Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
* Have experience of keeping accurate records
* Be comfortable working alone and with early starts/night work
* Have the ability to meet the physical demands of the role
* Be comfortable handling cash
* Experience of using handheld sets for deliveries (Electronic Rounds Books -ERB) is desirable

Remuneration:
For the role of Milk Rounds Delivery Driver our client is offering the position on either a self-employed basis where the projected on target earnings are £25,000 per annum, or on a fixed term contract (length of contract to be discussed at interview) where you would earn £324.61 plus commission per week.
