My client, a well renowned and leading organisation are seeking a Purchasing Manager. This is a real opportunity for those looking for a solid diverse role, suitable for candidates with experience in leading procurement initiatives and contributing significant value. You will be responsible for various indirect categories including HR with key suppliers to the organisation.
Hunger, determination and the ability to influence key stake holders at director level are a must.
The Role:
The jobholder will be tasked with delivering end to end strategic sourcing solutions across the procurement portfolio .
The ideal candidate will be able to balance the requirements of sourcing for indirect multi million pound projects on a regional, national and global level, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders. Key to your success will be driving through the development of supplier performance improvement and management programmes as well as delivering an invaluable, high-level, procurement service to the internal customer.
Skills required: -
Strategic experience across the breadth of procurement categories - Prepared to be the key driver in supply relationship strategies - Hungry, determined, confident and progressive personality - Highly numerical and analytical -
Strong communicator and negotiator at all levels
Knowledge of OJEU regs would be helpful but not essential.
