As the Senior Category Manager for Commercial you will be accountable for the overall management of sourcing initiatives and spend management of all Marketing and Dispense Categories - ensuring delivery against defined performance targets in service, financial goals, quality standards and innovation. You will partner closely with major stakeholders and drive strong return on investment for the UK, Global and Regional business needs via supplier relationship management, category strategy development and implementation, sourcing and negotiation.

Responsibilities

*Line management responsibilities for 3 UK Procurement Professionals
*Plan, execute and deliver bottom line results from on-going marketing procurement initiatives
*Oversee total UK Marketing and Dispense spend of approx. £100MM (all categories including dispense)
*Proactively manage spend trends and fully understand spend management complexities
*Effectively manage/negotiate all on-going and renewal contract activities with our external marketing-related agencies/suppliers
*Implement Supplier Relationship Management activities including agency performance reviews and actionable scorecards for continuous improvement on agency and client side
*Plan and execute various key RFP activities, including complex supplier negotiations, to source new agency/marketing services in the UK landscape. Sourcing areas to include creative agencies, digital agencies, print, PR agencies, graphic design companies, media houses and sampling/experiential BTL suppliers.
**Work closely with stakeholders in UK Marketing to ensure proper level of service is being delivered by marketing agencies/service suppliers to meet changing needs.
*Explore, uncover and realize benefits of on-going opportunities with current suppliers in the area of cost savings and process improvement
*Particular experience in ABL and BTL advertising, Digital, Media Buying and POS/Merchandising.

Motivated and driven, the successful candidate will be a high calibre commercial procurement manager; experience within and/or deep knowledge of the Marketing industry will form an essential component of this role. You will have Significant contract management and administration experience and an understanding and experience in contract law and applicable legislation. Your ability to think strategically and 'outside the box' will allow you to forge strong and credible relationships within the business and deliver the required results. In addition, your proven influencing skills will underpin your success in negotiations and allow you to deploy manpower resources to manage multiple projects, priorities and complex projects, to achieve annual financial targets.
