An international medical and pharmaceutical organisation are recruiting a Sourcing Manager. Applicants with strategic procurement experience within the; FMCG, food, science, pharmaceutical and medical sectors would be well suited to this role.
The Sourcing Manager will be responsible for developing strategy and leading all procurement activities for the Basingstoke facility. Specific duties of the Sourcing Manager will include:
1. Manage Procurement process for production materials, 3rd party sub-contractors and resale products
2. Optimise material availability and stock holdings economically.
3. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers
4. Develop and drive cost reduction/productivity programmes
5. Responsible for maintaining savings tracking system to provide data for reports
6. Develop, implement, and track programs for improving Vendor quality, delivery, and performance
7. Create processes around lean sourcing, supplier evaluation, price inflation, and supplier/risk management
8. Develop and drive supplier rationalisation programmes
9. Represent Procurement Departments at key stakeholder meetings
10. Develop and drive programmes around e-procurement and low cost country sourcing.
Prospective Sourcing Managers should meet the following criteria:
1. Procurement experience within a complex/matrix environment
2. Strategic procurement experience within; FMCG, Food, Pharma, Packaging, Science or Medical sectors - desirable
3. Strategic sourcing experience; negotiations, category management vendor management, e-procurement, LCC sourcing etc.
4. The ability to develop and foster excellent stakeholder relationships
5.Knowledge of lean procurement techniques, and VMI/Buffer Stock agreements - desirable
