We are looking for a Nuclear Procedure Engineer who has had significant previous experience working within a mechanical or electrical engineering role in a submarine operation or maintenance environment.

Candidates for the position of Nuclear Procedure Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering) should have completed the Nuclear Warship Support Course or achieved Category B Watchkeeper status (or higher)

You should also have a time served engineering background, preferably qualified to HNC level, and have knowledge of Submarines in areas such as reactor systems, ship systems and material compatibility and have wrote procedures/control documentation and carried out audit and inspections against these.

The Nuclear Procedure Engineer (Nuclear Warship Support/Category B Watchkeeper) should have their PCN Level 2 in Liquid Penetrant and Visual Inspection and be a Confined Spaces Competent Person.

These opportunities are for experienced Engineers to join a team at Clyde, working within the Nuclear Operations department as a Nuclear Procedure Engineer & Standards Inspector and the role will be responsible for producing control documentation and procedures for the maintenance of systems found within Royal Navy submarines.

Day to day responsibilities:
* Drafting, amending and reviewing nuclear procedures for all classes of submarine
* Conducting various audit and inspection activities to ensure quality, regulatory and safety requirements are met.

Successful candidates will need to satisfy Ministry of Defence security requirements and may be required to complete a medical assessment.

The role will be in an environment regulated by Trade Control legislation and involve working with controlled goods, technology and/or services. This may require you to meet enhanced security and regular screening checks.
