My prestigous financial institution is currnetly looking for an IT Director with the following skills and experience:

We are currently recruiting for an important Senior Management role to drive the IT function, a key role in enabling the Group to fulfil our ambitious plans.

Reporting to the Finance Director, the IT Director's role is to provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives across the Group. You will lead the IT strategic and operational planning to achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritising IT initiatives and coordinating the evaluation, deployment and management of current and future IT systems for the group.

You will coordinate and facilitate consultation with stakeholders to define business and system requirements for new technology implementations. Reviewing hardware and software acquisition and maintenance contracts, you will pursue master agreements to capitalise on economies of scale. You will promote and oversee strategic relationships between internal IT resources and external entities, including government, vendors and partner organisations.

They are looking for a strategic thinker and shaper, with strong leadership and communication skills. A track record of delivery and a strong governance and risk focus is vital. We are looking for someone who can make an impact from the start, shaping strategy, providing clarity of direction and displaying strong leadership to enable the team to deliver.

The successful candidate for this role will be of Degree calibre particularly in the field of computer science or business administration. With extensive experience of working within an IT industry, you will have managed and directed an IT operation.
 Using a strong understanding of computer systems characteristics, features and integration capabilities; the successful candidate will also have experience of systems design and development from business requirements analysis through to day-to-day management.
We are looking for someone who is self-motivated, analytical, evaluative and have excellent problem-solving abilities.
