One of the UKs leading brokerage firms is looking for a management accountant to join their finance team in a time when the industry is experiencing a surge in demand.
You will be part of a team of four reporting to the Financial Controller (2x Qualified Management Accountants, 2x Accounts assistants).
You will be responsible for the day to day operation and running of the finance function, the production of the monthly management accounts and KPI information, and producing the associated regulatory and tax compliance returns.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join what is essentially a small finance team for a market leader in a fast paced, challenging and exciting industry.

Key Responsibilities:

- Preparation of monthly accounts.
- Be solely responsible for two operating entities within the company.
- Review and process transactional information between the spread betting system and accounting system.
- Provide analysis and make recommendations on variances.
- Calculating and preparing betting duty returns.
- Reviewing monthly reconciliations.
- Conducting high level reconciliation of client balances between the core spread betting system and accounting package.
- Preparing quarterly FCA regulatory capital returns.
- Completing daily segregated money calculations for the FCA.
- Offer input into the quarterly reforecast process.
- Work closely with the business stakeholders on the annual audit.
- Offer assistance to statutory auditors at year end.

The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (or equivalent) with at least one year post qualified experience. Its essential that youre able to work autonomously and as part of a team, giving instruction and direction where appropriate. Experience in e-commerce is highly advantageous. Good written and oral communication skills are imperative along with good attention to detail. Youll need a proven ability to work under pressure and deliver within tight reporting deadlines.
