Sourcing is focusing on continued development of their best practice procurement function, driving the need to secure skilled procurement professionals, delivering procurement best practice processes and procedures and driving cost saving initiatives across inventory and non-inventory purchasing.

Role:

• Medical Senior Buyer Inventory, Capital Equipment & Services.
• You will be engaged across the following commodities: Capex (MRI Machines, Scanning & Imaging Equipment), Medical Inventory & Consumables, through to Outsourced Medical Services
• This is a commercial role that will manage sourcing initiatives within defined categories, providing technical and market expertise to focus on sourcing, content expertise and value delivery (price and total cost of ownership), whilst managing risk and issues with suppliers.

You will be responsible for:

• Attacking spend categories, taking cost out of the supply base
• Managing the delivery of a high a volume of tenders and e-auctions
• Managing SRM activity
• Identifying and developing stakeholder relationships, expanding the commercial remit and integration of procurement
• Driving implementation of procurement processes, procedures and best practice initiatives
• Managing supplier rationalisation activities

Requirements:

• Procurement expertise developed within a Medical or Healthcare industry
• Category sourcing experience across: Medical Equipment / Capital Goods, Inventory and Medical Services
• Excellent stakeholder relationship development & management skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills
• Adaptability, able to transition between category based procurement and sourcing projects effectively
• CIPS accredited, or part CIPS with the drive & commitment to complete
