My client is a leading firm of well established consulting civil and structural engineers with over 100 staff.
They offer a nationwide service to the construction industry from offices in several UK locations.
The firm offers a range of specialist services, all integrated to serve the needs of clients in the market sectors in which they operate.

A vacancy exists for a structural technician to be based out of their East London office.

Structural engineering forms the core of the practice, with highly qualified and experienced engineering professionals across the country.
Members of the firm play an active role in the IStructE and other industry bodies and are frequently called upon for their expert advice on complex structural issues.

Projects include buildings design in the education, residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
They tend to win loyalty from their staff and pride themselves on long serving members.

They are looking for an individual with lots of initiative who can demonstrate a good understanding of RC/Steel/Load bearing Masonry & Timber frame buildings. The suitable candidate would reside within an hours travel from the office in E11 and be capable of working with the minimum of supervision.

They are currently dealing with several large residential and commercial developments so experience of large new build frames is essential.
Some refurbishment/retail and Civils exposure would be a benefit although not essential.
There is the opportunity for use of some use of Revit in the office on live projects.
You must be proficient in AutoCAD (Release 2008 onwards) and other packages available to use are AutoTRACKS and 3D Civils.
Salary negotiable to the right applicant.
