The Open University is a world leader in flexible distance learning and open education. This is a key University role heading a flagship research and development institute, the Institute of Educational Technology (IET). IET is at the hub of the OU’s innovations in teaching, learning and student support.
The post-holder will further strengthen IET’s position at the heart of quality enhancement in the University, as well as take forward its programme of internationally recognised research. You should have senior leadership experience, an ability to develop excellent research and teaching, experience of managing change in a complex environment, and have expert knowledge of quality enhancement.
The appointment as Director is for 5 years with possible extension to 7 years. You will be appointed to a permanent professorship in IET.
