My Client, a FTSE 100Consultancy have a vacancy for a Senior Category Manager to focus on all indirect categories, and in particular Facilities Management Spend.

The Role:

The successful candidate will be required to take a strategic lead on procurement activity across the breadth of FM category areas including both hard and soft services and all maintenance, repair and overhaul spend. Duties will include ensuring that all procurement activity within these and other indirect spend areas is as efficient and effective as possible. As an externally facing role within a consultancy, there is an emphasis on client engagement and stakeholder management at a senior level. The client base is varied and interesting and the overall role is fast paced and diverse.

There are significant savings to be made within the client base and the internal procurement team and your role will be to identify and implement procurement savings within the FM, MRO, professional services and IT categories. This will involve negotiating with existing suppliers as well as leading tenders to ensure best value for money from new suppliers.

Experience:

* Previous broad indirect and FM and MRO category management experience is essential
* Demonstrable ability to deliver cost savings across a range of spend areas
* Degree educated
* Excellent stakeholder management
