IT Support / Junior Infrastructure Engineer- Edinburgh- £23,000-£28,000

IT Support Engineer / senior Desktop/junior Server Engineer / IT Support Analyst / Junior Infrastructure Engineer / Senior 1st and 2nd line/ Junior 3rd line support Analyst/ IT Support Engineer required for a permanent vacancy in Edinburgh.

IT Support / Junior Infrastructure Engineer- Cathcart Associates are working with one of Scotland's leading IT Solution providers to recruit an IT Support / Junior Infrastructure Engineer for a permanent opportunity in their Edinburgh Head Quarters.

My client is ideally looking for an individual who is established in providing 1st and 2nd line support, and who has had exposure to supporting and administering infrastructure platforms at a junior 3rd line level.

Key duties:

**Responsible for resolving 1st and 2nd line support requests with agreed SLAs
** Managing and maintaining client relationships, providing superb customer service and building a good knowledge of customers IT environments, to ensure you can fully consult with client's regarding their IT requirements
** Ensuring maximum uptime for customer, within agreed SLAs
**Completing tasks efficiently, and in a timely manner and communicate progress regarding requests both internally and to the customer.

Key Requirements:

** Excellent working Knowledge of MS Windows XP and 7- windows 8 would be advantageous- Installation/ support and administration
** Experience of supporting end users via phone and other remote access methods
** Experience with Windows Server environments- MS windows server 2008- basic support and administration- 2012 would be desirable
** MS Exchange 2007/2010 or 2013- basic support and administration
** Excellent troubleshooting, fault finding and problem solving skills
**MS certifications such as MCP/MCITP and/or MCSA or a degree within an IT discipline would be a distinct advantage
** Exposure to virtualisation technologies such as VMware or Hyper V would be a distinct advantage, but by no means an essential requirement.
** Valid UK driving licence
