We are actively seeking an experienced Associate Project Manager who will serve in a role in a large-scale program, providing assistance to the program team. In this role, the Associate will provide administrative and project administration support for a fast paced program. The ideal candidate will enjoy tackling new challenges, be flexible and will be a proactive team member. This is a great position for someone who is self-motivated, highly organized and detail oriented. Responsibility for all aspects of the project over the entire life (initiate, plan , execute, control, close). Must be familiar with systems scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
This position is a temp to perm role and will report to our VP Program Management Office and is based in our New York City location.
Responsibilities
- Disseminate project information to project stakeholders, monitoring and reporting the achievement of project activities
- Prepare and distribute routine correspondence
- Coordinate schedules and appointments. Manage executive’s calendar including meetings, with difficulty such as more attendees, multiple locations & time zones, and with impact on other meetings
- Arrange and coordinate business travel and expense report submission
- Collate and prepare status reports and other regular reporting activities
- Set-up and maintain online work spaces
- Coordinate conferences and plan off-site meetings
- Excellent transcription skills to accurately record key decisions and action items resulting from meetings
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years related experience as a Project Coordinator or Associate Project Manager
- Strong communication skills – both written and verbal
- Creative problem solving and interest new challenges
- Friendly persistence
- Comfortable with technology
- Strong interest in education
