PTC York is a leading centre for confectionery research and development, and works closely with Nestlé world-wide. Our objective is to provide ideas, technical innovation and scientific support including product, process, technology and packaging development necessary for the future growth and profitability of the confectionery business.
PTC York currently has an excellent opportunity for a Product Technologist within the Chocolate Department to work on a number of global projects. The main responsibility within this role includes:
· Managing cross functional projects, preparing project proposals, resource planning and driving completion
· Providing operational support to key markets, assisting in industrialisation and commissioning
· Managing relationships with key stakeholders, external service providers and internally with markets and business units
· Driving new ideas and proposing new technologies and processes
You’ll have excellent project management skills and extensive operational experience ideally within Confectionery.
Suitable candidates will be able to demonstrate:
· Degree or equivalent education in Food Technology/Science/Engineering related subjects
· Relevant work experience within a confectionery environment, ideally with product and process knowledge as well as NPD experience
· Up to date knowledge of quality, safety and hygiene requirements
· Excellent project management experience with a proven track record for delivering cross functional projects
· Mobility, as you may be supporting international markets where there will be a requirement to travel
