An Internal Auditor is required for a world leading financial services company based in Central London. You will be planning, executing and reporting on internal audit reviews of business units, processes and high risk areas, across the organisation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who has solid auditing experience in an Exchange, Clearing, Trading or Banking environment which is essential for this role.

Your main responsibilities will include the following:
-Continuous Audit Planning: assist in the development of a risk-based, current and relevant annual audit plan. Continuously re-assess assigned areas and provide recommendations for areas to review
-Audit Program: conduct complex financial operational and IT audits of various business processes, under the Leads direction. This includes documenting, analysing, and assessing related risk and controls, designing tests to assess the effectiveness of controls, evaluating compliance with Company procedures, reviewing the accuracy of financial reporting, and identifying issues that warrant managements attention.
-Tools: use internal computer assisted audit tools (e.g., ACL, scripting tools ) to analyse data and perform audit tests. Comprehensively and succinctly document all audit work.
-Open Issues: follow up on assigned open issues with management in a timely manner. Verify whether action plans were implemented and address the issues identified
-Relationships: enhance relationships with management, through the development of relationships with the business, so that management increasingly values and seeks the contributions of Audit Services as a trusted and skilled company resource
-Business Knowledge: continuously learn about and develop deeper knowledge of the businesses, competitive landscape, relevant rules and regulations, and audit and accounting processes and principles.
-Involvement in any other special projects as required.

The ideal candidate will be degree educated, have previous experience in a banking or trading environment and have excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills. You will be communicating with a variety of stakeholders, drafting reports and summarising results of reviews.
