The Company:
This amazing branded food company has been making tasty premium products using authentic ingredients that have tantalised consumer taste buds for the past 20 years. With an ambitious innovations strategy their business and product ranges are growing, so they're now looking for a talented Food Technologist who has creative flair combined with the technical know-how to develop and launch new products to extend the company's product portfolio as well as market share.

The Role:
Reporting to the Managing Director you will manage all aspects of product development from concept stage through to launch and beyond.
 You will take responsibility for the innovation pipeline, co-ordinating all NPD & Technical activity across different food categories.
 Working to product briefs, you will create new products in the kitchen and work closely with the company's manufacturing partners to ensure the smooth production of your exciting new products.
You'll need to ensure the technical and commercial viability of new products, working collaboratively with internal and external teams to guarantee that packaging, labelling and legislative requirements are met.
 To make sure your products are produced to the high standard of the brand, you will attend trials and first production runs in the UK and occasionally abroad.
 Other technical responsibilities will be co-ordinating product testing, completing product specifications, ensuring compliance to BRC and advising the business on UK and International food regulations that impact on products.
 Further accountabilities will include attending retailer presentations and communicating to the trade, consumers and market research agencies to really promote this respected brand and drive growth so that they can achieve their ambitious commercial vision.

The Candidate:We're looking for an exceptionally talented Food Technologist who has creative and commercial flair as well as the technical acumen to drive NPD for this ambitious business.
 Experience may have been gained from a food manufacturing, brand or retail environment but you must have proven NPD successes and be able to demonstrate your expertise in delivering great products to market. This is a high profile role within a small team so to achieve real results you will need to have exceptional project management, communication and organisational skills with the ability to drive and influence the NPD and technical agenda for the company. You must be happy to occasionally travel overseas as well as regularly within the UK, therefore a valid UK driving licence and car is essential.
