Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the Procurement / Purchasing Manager / Buyer will ensure our client is able to purchase effectively, ensuring value for money and negotiating preferential rates for the business. The Procurement / Purchasing Manager / Buyer will provide a single point of contact, sourcing products and services across the business including Technology support & contract management.

Our Client works at the heart of the Media industry, specialising in the delivery of digital media and offering the complete range of services to promote, playout and provide access to broadcast content across all media from television to mobile phones. They are the largest playout and channel management business in the UK, providing services to a number of major broadcasters.

The Procurement / Purchasing Manager / Buyer will build relationships with internal stakeholders and existing / new suppliers, improving terms and conditions, risk mitigation, introduction of new policies, due diligence, negotiation, regulatory change and reviewing supplier performance. The Procurement / Purchasing Manager / Buyer will create specific PSLs ( Preferred Supplier Lists ), advise on procurement policy / best practice and lead and manage complex Invitation to Tenders and Requests for Proposals.

The successful Procurement / Purchasing Manager / Buyer will have demonstrable procurement and negotiation experience together with (or working towards) the CIPS qualification. The role of Procurement / Purchasing Manager / Buyer demands an excellent aptitude for figure work and experience of Microsoft packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook combined with experience of the Agresso purchasing system or similar.
