The Role - National Account Manager (PPE, Footwear, factory equipment etc)
As the National Account Manager, the main purpose of the role will be to sell the company's product range into the construction industry via tender contracting and any other means that will result in increased revenue. The role is 65% new business / 35% account management and will be home based, covering the following territory, Yorkshire, Lancashire, North Wales, East Midlands and Cambridgeshire.
You will be given full autonomy in this role which means trust and loyalty is a must.
Other duties will include; Work closely with others account managers to share strategy and ideas; Identify, target and leverage new business opportunities within every product category; Gather and share competitor information; Regular face to face meetings with new and existing clients with measurable results. This is a great opportunity for someone with industry knowledge who would like to be self managing.
The Person - (PPE, Footwear, factory equipment etc)
As the National Account Manager, the most important skills required for the role that you MUST have, are product knowledge, Industry knowledge and an appreciation of the route to market within the construction sector, coupled with tender contracting experience and a proven sales record in achieving large contracts.
Other critical skills include; Experience of new business generation; Large account management experience; Experience of presenting at Senior/Corporate level.
You must be target driven, with focus and believe in nothing less than 100%, coupled with a likeable and outgoing personality.
