Operations Assistant
Location: Worcester
Salary: £20,000

Hour: Monday - Friday 10am -10pm

Possible Saturdays

Due to expansion, our client is looking to recruit an Operations Assistant / Traffic Planner

Day to day duties:

*Processing drivers paperwork and processing POD's
*Processing Purchase order numbers and ensuring all contract costs are captured effectively.
*Issuing Purchase orders to sub contractors.
*Processing accident/insurance claim forms.
*Reporting and recording goods in transit claims.
*Dealing with driver's queries and update whilst offering advise and telephone support.
*Supporting customer service with delivery queries.
*Supporting transport requirements.
*Communicating with customers to book in orders for delivery and co-ordinating transport.
*Inter Depot communication to ensure synergies are optimised.
*Keeping track of all returns and non delivered items and ensuring they are processed and received into the warehouse.
*Producing weekly KPI report for Management Review.
*Assisting with Audit review.
*Carrying out corrective action on audit points.
*Ensuring administrative compliance in relation to drivers hours and operators licence.
*Ensuring all orders are entered onto the appropriate system using with bespoke Track It bespoke SOP system or CTMS transport management system.
*DPS System or CTMS transport Management System.

PLANNING

*Planning all routes nationwide for next day deliveries. Producing paperwork for drivers from both depots. Liaising with subcontractors / drivers to ensure all resources are in for next day deliveries.

Essential Skills:

*Excellent computer skills - ie. Word, excel, typing, SOP systems and transport system advantageous
*Excellent communication skills and the ability to offer solutions in the transport environment under pressure.
*Excellent customer service skills.
*Basic financial skills for reporting
*Flexible attitude towards working hours
*Able to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
