An opportunity has arisen for a Buyer to join the Procurement Team, reporting to the Procurement Process Manager, who will form part of the Procurement Support function.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
-Managing the Oracle in box of all assigned spend categories and the processing of Purchase Orders as directed by the Category Management team
-Assisting in the completion and implementation of the Oracle Procurement and P2P strategy as directed by the Procurement Process Manager
-Assisting in any Oracle I-Procure queries from the business as appropriate
-Supporting large tenders, RFQ and supplier quote activities as assigned and directed by the Category Management team
-Support any supplier negotiation activities as directed by the Category Management team
-Support any supplier evaluation and analysis as part of tenders and RFQs
-Assisting the Category Management team to analyse spend data and make recommendations to support the creation and implementation overall category strategies
-Supporting the introduction of all Procurement processes as directed by the Procurement Management team
-Assisting with the implementation and maintenance of a supplier classification process within the company and supporting the Category Management team to ensure that all suppliers are categorised as they should be
-Assist with the creation and production of procurement reports and departmental metrics (spend, savings, others as required)
-Assisting in any internal or customer audit requirements from a Procurement perspective
Key Skills and Candidate Requirements:
-Degree / HND / HNC or equivalent in an appropriate discipline or relevant experience
-CIPS qualification would be ideal or working towards
-Depth and breadth of experience may be taken into account where these qualifications have not been obtained
-Good working knowledge and understanding of procurement processes and best practices
-Ability to analyse problems and develop and document process driven solutions
-A high attention to detail and ability to achieve high levels of data accuracy
-Confidence and ability to handle large volumes of data from different sources
-Experience of managing quantities of data from varying sources to extract insight to support strategic procurement and business decisions
-Proficient in Oracle especially Oracle I-Procure
-Good levels in MS office products especially MS Excel and Access
