Background
Our central government client has a 6 month requirement for an IT Procurement Manager based in London.
Main Duties/ Responsibilities
To lead on procurement contract management activity in the designated work area. This means: working with the category and contract teams in defining all contract management activity in scope; engaging with suppliers and supporting stakeholder relationships; assisting the administration of contracts; and resolving all escalated contractual disputes and issue. Professional expertise and judgement will be relied upon by senior colleagues and stakeholders.
Outputs/ Deliverables to be achieved
General Objectives: - Work with the category teams in defining all contract management activity in scope; - Engage with suppliers and supporting stakeholder relationships; - Assist the administration of contracts; - Resolving all escalated contractual disputes and issues; - Support any additional ad-hoc sourcing requirements for ICT Specific Objectives Relating to the Programme: - Procurement of secure professional wifi service for criminal courts - Procurement of in-court digital solution for Magistrates Courts - Procurement of in-court digital solution for Crown Courts - Procurement of digital store Specific Objectives Relating to Strategic Single Common Platform : - Develop strategy for procuring platform - Provide commercial advice, guidance and support on existing contracts and impacts of any new contracts, managing relationships between different suppliers
Skills/ Experience Required
Essential:
The post holder must have a proven track-record of success as a middle management procurement professional in a corporate procurement environment with experience in handling a diverse range of spend categories in high risk, high value, and complex projects.
