As a Product Performance Engineer / Scientist, you will be responsible for providing key technical assistance to Dyson's Claims & Performance Team by supporting the development of claims and testing techniques.

Advising on how to maximise claims, you'll scrutinise the wording, detail and intent of campaigns and ensure that Dyson's USPs and product attributes are effectively communicated. Aiming to effectively reach Dyson's audience, you will ensure that legal challenges from competitors aren't incurred.

Pushing the boundaries of test techniques, you'll keep abreast of the latest standards and legislation and ensure that Dyson are fully aware of regulatory decisions. Additionally, you'll discuss any proposed changes to standards and suggest and create new performance test methods in order to maintain Dyson's strong and hard-earned brand name.

- Be a qualified or trained engineer or scientist
- Have technical expertise and the ability to understand the impact of regulations or new test metrics on claims
- Have demonstrable analytical prowess, with the ability to scrutinise claims and copy and identify subtleties, flaws and inferences that may enable Dyson to challenge or rubbish competitor marketing
- Be a strategic thinker with the ability to identify opportunities and develop new test methods that will benefit product categories and influence consumer magazines and standards bodies
- Have the ability to identify connections between internal technical developments, standards and current legal challenges
