With over 100 stores across the UK and Ireland, american golf is Europe's largest golf retailer. Based in our Head Office in Warrington, Cheshire, there is a fantastic opportunity to join the Merchandising team. In this role you would assist the Clubs Merchandiser to achieve category sales, margin and stock targets through the generation and analysis of key reports across the full Clubs division whilst taking ownership of the planning, forecasting & reporting of the Own Brand clubs product portfolio.

Main Tasks:

Clubs Division
Reporting:
- Production of weekly and monthly Category performance reports.
- Maintenance & development of all category line cards.
- Assistance with the generation of monthly and quarterly supplier reports.

Forecasting:
- Identification of slow and fast moving products lines to maximise stock efficiency.
- Identification of stock-level issues and recommend solutions to minimise risk.
- Assistance in the accurate store profiling of all key products.

Own Brand
Reporting:
- Specific responsibility for the analysis of 'Own Brand' product performance.
- Maintenance & development of all Own Brand line cards.

Forecasting:
- Specific responsibility for 'Own Brand' purchase order forecasting, including direct liaison with the buyer.

General
- Maintenance of the in-house IT systems to ensure data accuracy.
- Creation of ad-hoc reports as and when required.
- Involvement in project work as and when required.

Person Specification:

Essential:
- Excellent analytical skills.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Excel.
- Proficiency in other Microsoft Office programmes.
- Good communication skills.
- Commercial awareness.
- Works well under pressure.
- Passion for golf.

Preferred:
- Graduate / mathematical or business qualification.
- Previous merchandising experience.
- Prior retail experience within a Commercial team.
