They are looking for a real Procurement professional in solving unique problems. They are looking for a Flexible, Purchasing professional who can purchase a range of different sub contract or outsourced service that will in part provide support to some varied and incredibly diverse contracts. Your purchasing expertise will be stretch to the fullest in providing outsourced service provider to some unique and intriguing opportunities.
You will be accountable for the execution of end to end procurement processes, including data collection, enquiry document preparation, negotiation, contract award, contract management and supplier relationship management. In addition, the role includes managing communication with suppliers and internal customers. The Category Buyer, as part of the Procurement team,( 6) will be expected to lead other initiatives, when required, that contributes to organizational goals.
The role will involve supplier management if Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers and subcontract manufacturers or indeed outsourced service providers that will build products for the business . Supplier manager is key to this technologically complex products and service requirements . The projects may be one off prototypes or specifically designed for an individual client or contract . The procurement function is strategic and the full 360 role .Incorporating stakeholder meetings, RFP, RFQ's , supplier engagement , contract management and the full supply chain introduction to complete on order . Projects are varied and multiple which can last between 2 months or 2 years .
They will be Supplier / Subcontract Management face to face on occasion ( driver license vital ) . UK resident needed also to gain basic security clearance .
Scope of Spendc. £50m+ spend per annum .

Key Accountabilities:
-Data collection and analysis for projects.
-Commodity research and spend analysis.
-Building of strong relationships with key internal stakeholders
-Provides guidance on best practice sourcing to the organisation
-Stays up-to-date about customers' needs and expectations.
-Bid management to include development of sourcing strategy, stakeholder mapping and engagement, bid solicitation, contract negotiation and award, and on-going supplier governance.
-Execution of sourcing plans, especially implementation of change programs involving new suppliers or spend practice.
-Sourcing of one-off, high value transactions.
-Executes high value purchase orders on internal systems.

Qualifications:
- Relevant business degree (desirable) or equivalent experience
- Membership of Chartered Institute of Purchasing or studying towards MCIPS

Experience, Knowledge & skills:
- Previous knowledge and experience within Sub contract services ,Outsourced services , procuring contracted services .( variety of projects and programmes )
- Knowledge of procurement systems and infrastructure.
- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated negotiation skills.
- Strong interpersonal communications and the ability to work independently and across multiple functions.
- Proven knowledge of complex contractual arrangements.
- Problem solving ability, detail oriented ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Independent worker with high degree of professionalism and integrity.
- Highly results oriented. Keeps the organisation on track and delivery focussed.
- Comfortably relates to many different types of people at all levels.
