Inside Out Purchasing and Supply has been engaged by our Essex based client to recruit for an Inventory Planner.

Job Description:
Responsible for analysing inventory levels to review demand forecasting by using statistical based tools to maintain assigned department or category levels
maximise fill rates and minimise lost sales
review sales trends and implement procedures and processes to support seasonal/transitional strategies
increase inventory turns to deliver maximum product availability in all categories.
oManage vendor partner relationships through effective monitoring of performance, communicating and resolving issues efficiently
oCo-ordinate and communicate product, supplier, business changes with all relevant stakeholders
oDrive system/process improvements in working with vendor partners on order management, vendor operations and inventory management
oMaintain a close and productive working relationship with category managers
oEnsuring all savings that are achieved in the business are recorded.
oProficient management of Gem funding to support vendor retail activity
oWork collaboratively across all internal divisions to ensure all vendor/brand opportunities are taken
oEngage across entire business to maintain internal processes and communication
oWork with line manager (title tbc) to prepare and present monthly category/vendor reviews

Skills & Experience
oGood negotiation experience
oBroad commercial awareness developed in a fast-moving environment
oAbility to manage multiple work streams effectively
oEffective communicator with a proactive approach to problem solving and excellent time management skills
oProven ability to influence and make an impact internally and externally
oAbility to absorb and use data to drive decisions
oStrong team-player
oSelf-motivation and enthusiasm
oHighly analytical, flexible, self-motivated, action and results orientated individual
oProficiency in forecasting
oExcellent numeric ability (including competency with MS Excel & MS Access)
oExperienced in Oracle or SAP
oProven track record of accountability, inventory management and replenishment processes
oCPIM and/or CIPS would be advantageous
