A leading FMCG Manufacturer is currently seeking a Commercial Executive to support the Retailer account team in improving performance of the supplier's products through collaborative demand planning, the provision of analytical support, detailed product knowledge and supplier insight.
Commercial Executives responsibilities include:
Provide category support through ranging analysis by store cluster, reviewing seasonal trends and distribution optimisation (store no's, optimum outer case size).
Support the supplier by improving total relationship between the retailer and manufacturing facility through driving growth across the businesses by identifying and addressing opportunities across the KPI measures within the product portfolio.
Provide information flow back to the manufacturing sites to ensure production can react to demand fluctuations so as to meet service level expectations.
Communication as necessary between supplier/retailer and between internal departments
Ensuring all shortages and failures are investigated and resolved.
Management & review of required stock derogations with Commercial Manager & Planning department.
Wastage & Availability: investigate performance, suggest actions to improve
Liaising with controllers, forecasters, supplier planning and distribution teams, to ensure accuracy of daily order plan.
Monitoring weekly forecast accuracy vs. actual orders.
Maximise the promotion plan through analysing performance and making recommendations on potential mechanics, phasings and seasonal events.
Conduct reviews of performance post promotion from a supply chain view. Analyse promotional performance during promotion
Conduct post promotional forecast accuracy analysis and liaise with both retail and supplier to improve future accuracy
Daily tracking of key lines during key promotional periods (ie Xmas) highlighting key issues with immediate escalation, contingency action and resolution
Looking at route to market, ensuring optimal order days and lead times, depot profiles, supplier compliance and specific product area projects in order to reduce costs and maximise product life.
Circulating weekly sales reports by SKU level and providing in-depth analysis of line performance.
Working with both the retail buyer & Merchandising/Supply Chain team and the Supplier to drive category growth through analysing sales performance by store cluster, ensuring the right range is in each cluster, flexing by season
You will be a Commercial Executive used to working within a Major retailer or Manufacturing facility. You will ideally have a minimum of one years experience in a high volume supply chain role within chilled food retailing or a major FMCG operation.
You will be able to demonstrate a strong customer focus, an ability to work under periods of high pressure and an ability to absorb and interpret large amount of data
