The Strategic Procurement Category Specialist for Europe responsibilities include implementing the regional sourcing strategies and strategic initiatives defined in conjunction with Category Managers This position will work on the definition and resolution of known or anticipated problems in value, quality, feasibility, and specifications in the procurement of goods and services, while contributing cost savings and other value added activity to support customer needs and expectations.
Primary areas of spend: indirect goods and services, commercial, IT and telecommunications.
ACCOUNTABILITIES
1.Full responsibility for ongoing management and cost effectiveness of Preferred Supplier Networks (using negotiations and/or eSourcing tool).
2.Working with Sites and Affilaites, Category Specialists help support regional sourcing project.
3.Support Category Managers on the supplier data spend profile.
4.Develop communication plan with the Category Managers for respective projects. Assist Category Managers to manage internal stakeholders and Steering Committee members
5.Develop Voice of Customer, conduct stakeholders interviews and review existing contracts, in conjunction with Category Managers,
6.Ensure compliance of policies, procedures, and regulations
7.Participate to the development of TCO economics. Agree preliminary savings tools with the Category Managers and Finance.
8.Define implementation plan by setting up projects plans that meet the agreed strategic sourcing goals. Set priorities, adapt where necessary.
9.Ensure adequate communication and resource allocation is in place prior to commencing implementation of projects.
10.Drive the change management process, evaluating impacts from changes and building the required confidence with the affiliate stakeholders.
11.Establish effective contract performance metrics (KPIs), SLAs and re-establish financial baseline, if required.
12.Manage the contracts and suppliers to the KPIs and hold supplier performance regional reviews for large global outsourced providers (e.g. HR BPO, IT) as required and in coordination with the Global reviews.
13.Support the regional requirements gathering for IT sourcing projects as well as the regional rollout of global IT contracts.
14.Ensure projects are implemented according to company wide standards, procedures and regulatory requirements.

Graduate or equivalent qualification, with membership of Purchasing / Supply Chain / Project Professional body preferred.
