Our client a Major Global FTSE organization are seeking an experienced IT Category Manager supporting the M&A division with key responsibilites for IT contracts and 3rd party spend.
Responsibilities:
* You will manage relationships performance in relation to 3rd parties, including RFP's, sourcing strategies and supplier negotiations
* You will build strong relationships within the global IT network liaising with stakeholders to understand business requirements and identify opportunities to create a strong value propostion
* Execute sourcing strategies according to stakeholder requirements and support the strategy development.
* Negotiate Global IT contracts
* Manage the global supply base for the categories within scope through a robust performance management process. Ensure supplier performance is understood and measured.
* Manage the scoping, development and approval of Statements of Work (SOWs) ensuring that all parties are clear on deliverables, ownership, requirements and responsibilities
* You will be a key contact for day to day issues for the Vendor, working with Vendor Specialist and finance to monitor all invoicing activity related to Vendor payments, including any SOWs
* Collaborate with other areas of IT (and supporting functions) to ensure vendors are effectively managed and contracts are fully compliant
* Manage the involvement of divisions including Legal, Procurement & Finance as appropriate throughout the engagement
* Establish strong relationships with the relevant IT divisions to understand their ongoing requirements
Person specification
* Strong IT procurement skills
* Excellent relationship building, analytical, commercial, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills.
* High degree of influencing and management of stakeholders across IT and 3rd parties
* Understand the regulatory environment in order to enforce activity compliance
* Strong analytical and numeracy skills to augment detailed analysis of performance, delivery and statement of work obligations
* Knowledge of IT Project approval process, and project management processes and practices
* Strong Stakeholder Management, Influencing and Communication skills
* Knowledge of industry best practice in contract negotiation
* Good understanding of project management methodologies
