My client, a global healthcare communications agency is looking to recruit a Senior Account Executive for their PR team based at their offices in London, healthcare communications experience is essential.

In Brief:
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT:
To manage the day-to-day running of accounts.
Ensure and recommend appropriate task allocation to external freelancers following discussion and authorisation of Associate Directors.

Responsible for regular client phone contact, and prompt and accurate contact/phone contact reports within 24 hours of meeting/discussion.
Responsible for accurate estimating, billing, awareness of budgetary status at all times to ensure account budget not exceeded and ensure project profitability.
Good knowledge of graphics, print and production
Ensure job bag system is adhered to according to my clients procedures
Maintain and strengthen understanding of account therapy areas and industry/environment issues pertinent to clients.

CLIENT LIAISON:
  • Maintain regular client contact
  • Maintain awareness and understanding of current issues relating to client and product area.
  • Advise client on necessary programme changes/external issues and question and challenge client in a manner appropriate to the Company and individual client
  • Ensure speedy responses to client enquiries
  • Demonstrate innovation and creativity beyond client ideas
  • Maintain social contact with client personnel

PROFESSIONAL RELATIONS:
Build and maintain contact with key opinion leaders who will be of benefit to account areas of responsibility.
MEDIA RELATIONS:
Build and improve knowledge of UK/International/European media and its application to healthcare communications.
Develop and maintain media contacts.

SKILLS/ATTRIBUTES REQUIRED:
  • Programme Management
  • Able to maintain an overview of programme tactics.
  • Client Management
  • Able to explain key principles of relationship building and to apply knowledge in developing and building relationships with the client.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage difficult relationships.
  • Financial Management
  • Has a good understanding of figures, is able to interpret and use numerical material and present numerical information clearly and accurately.
  • Professional Capabilities
  • Has sound medical knowledge demonstrated by a clear understanding of drug categories and modes of action.
