Joining the large scale procurement division the Category Buyer will work within the category of Products & Components, the role will be accountable for the execution of sourcing programs, data collection and analysis, preparation of bid plans and documents, and managing communication with suppliers and internal customers. Projects will be linked to the sourcing of raw materials, electronic components, bespoke manufactured items, PCB assemblies, and full box build outsourcing.

The role will lead end to end procurement process, engagement directly within internal engineering and NPI stakeholders and leading all commercial sourcing, negotiation and supplier management.

Salary - £35000 - £40000 + benefits (dependent on experience level)

Key Experience, Knowledge & skills required:

-Proven procurement experience working in a manufacturing and/or electronics environment industry highly desirable at buyer / senior buyer level
-Proven ability to lead duel lower value batch offer and larger scale multimillion pound contracts
-Knowledge of procurement systems and infrastructure.
-Demonstrated written and verbal communication and negotiation leadership skills.
-Demonstrated negotiation skills
-Strong interpersonal communications and the ability to work independently and across multiple functions.
-CIPS / MCIPS qualification an advantage
-Relevant business or related commercial degree an advantage
-Success in working with teams.
-Problem solving ability, detail oriented ability to manage multiple tasks.
-Independent worker with high degree of professionalism, and integrity.
-Drive for Results. Highly results oriented. Keeps the organization on track and customer / project delivery oriented.
