Role: Japanese Speaking Cost Control Technical Leader x2
Hours: 39 hours per week
Location: Wiltshire, South West England
This role provides a vital function through strategic cost analysis of New Model activities for both sales and purchasing. The ideal candidate will be able to gather source data, verify and validate it before use in a structured approach to achieve the desired objective. This role will require someone who is fluent in both Japanese and English.
Responsibilities:
* Liaising with buyers to integrate cost submitted
* VAVE interrogation
* Updating the MRP system (QAD)
* Provide relevant cost data on price movements
* Detailed analysis of quotation cost breakdown and knowledge of categories in piece cost
* Generation of customer quotations
* Liaising with Japanese mother Company

Experience required:
* Excellent Japanese/English communication and technical translation skills (preferably Japanese mother tongue)
* Excellent numeracy and literacy skills
* Previous experience as a Sales Engineer would be advantageous
* Ability to show cost analysis and breakdown at a detailed level through RFQ process
* Previous experience of working in a high pressure environment, preferably manufacturing based
* A solid level of competency in all Microsoft Office programs
* Previous experience of working to tight deadlines
* Experience of New Model calculations and costs
* Understanding of timing plan generation
* An understanding of exchange mechanisms and duties is also necessary in this role.
* Strong analysis skills to do quotation cost breakdowns
