As part of their ongoing growth plans, they're looking to recruit a Senior Procurement Manager to help develop the next generation of technology at their Research, Design and Development laboratories.

As a Senior Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for defining the strategy and leading the procurement activities of Dyson's commercial motors function.

Working on development projects, you'll ensure project milestones are met and sourcing is achieved on time and to cost. Acting as a bridge between NPI/engineering and cross category procurement managers in Southeast Asia, you will integrate with the global procurement team and handle a diverse range of high risk, high value spend categories with technical complexity.

Your other duties will include:

- Initiating negotiations and taking the lead in closing price agreements
- Identifying risk and implementing risk mitigating actions
- Supporting and participating on new product development project teams
- Leading supplier based and supply chain regionalisation and localisation strategy

So is this the role for you? To be considered for this opportunity, you must have:

- Global procurement experience, specifically within motors and motor components, ideally gained from an automotive, aerospace and defence background
- An understanding of technical engineering, relevant to motor sourcing

As the Senior Procurement Manager, you will be curious about the latest, cutting-edge material technologies and advances in production processes.

Fluency in Mandarin would be beneficial to your application, as would a CIPS qualification. Experience of dealing with suppliers in the Far East would also be advantageous.
