Fire Safety Advisor - 20 hours per week

5 Boroughs Partnership NHS Foundation Trust currently provides specialist services from over 90 premises throughout the Trust. Estates and Facilities Management are responsible for providing the management of a range of support services to these properties, either directly or via an agreement with other service providers.

The Fire Safety Advisor will be responsible for advising and making recommendations on all aspects of fire safety, to ensure the Trust complies with statutory requirements, Codes of Practice and other guidance.

The post holder will also be responsible for undertaking fire risk assessments and fire investigation reports and formulating plans to monitor and review all aspects of fire safety.

The post holder must have excellent planning skills and be capable of handling a varied workload. The successful candidate will also be responsible for the delivery of fire safety training to all staff, which will require excellent communication and presentation skills.

Applicants should have extensive knowledge of fire safety and at least five years fire safety experience within a fire authority. The post holder will be part of a developing directorate and should be an enthusiastic team member, committed to developing the role and service in a busy and challenging environment.

The successful candidate will be required to travel to all areas throughout the Trust, therefore a therefore the post holder must be able to meet the travel requirements of this post and demonstrate how they will do this.
