IT Systems Administrator, £28-£32k DOE, North London
Excellent opportunity for a Windows Server and VMWare Systems Administrator with broad skills to join this rapidly expanding IT Services provider in North London. With over 3 years commercial experience in a similar position including previous employment with an IT Services Provider, you will ideally be degree educated in IT related subjects with at least 1 recent MCTS qualification or will have MCITP Server or Enterprise Administrator qualifications. You are proficient in Microsoft System Center and be skilled in Virtualisation (specific skills in VMware - ESXi (essential), VMware VCenter server (strongly preferred) in a server workplace environment. You are also experience in Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 for troubleshooting as well as management for organisations of 50+ users. You can demonstrate proven ability in limiting access to resources via group policy, deployment of software via Group Policy, managing software updates across a network, monitoring servers using centralised monitoring software and restoring data using backup software. Any experience or skills in Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix Xen Server, MS Exchange 2010 installation, SAN management experience and strong networking - Cisco or Juniper certification ideally, but real world experience more valuable - is desirable. We expect that our Systems Administrators / Systems Engineers would have at least one of the following qualifications:
- Exam 70-640 : TS: Windows Server 2008 Active Directory, Configuring
- Exam 70-642: TS: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring Exam 70-646 : PRO: Windows Server 2008, Server Administrator
- Exam 70-647 : PRO: Windows Server 2008, Enterprise Administrator
- Exam 70-648 : TS: Upgrading Your MCSA on Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008, Technology Specialisations
- Exam 70-649 : TS: Upgrading Your MCSE on Windows Server 2003 to Windows Server 2008, Technology Specialist
- Exam 70-662: TS: Microsoft Exchange Server 2010, Configuring
You can demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communications skills and a dedication to customer service in IT support. You have excellent time management skills and ability to co-ordinate with various teams to action items with at all times a well presented and professional manner whilst working under pressure.
