Working with a leading Financial Services business you will act as the lead specialist for all procurement activities within Applications and Software Development category across the Group.

Key Responsibilities will include:
- Co-ordinate Group, Regional and Territory purchasing requirements to achieve benefits for the whole group leveraging the total Global spend
- Effective communication with both Global Category owner and Regional Category heads
- Monitor, direct and manage a team of Category buyers to ensure purchasing activity is consistent
- Identify and support subject matter experts
- Lead negotiations with Global Vendors

The successful candidate will be educated to degree level with previous Category Management experience within IT ideally Applications and Software Development along with:
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Previous man management experience
- Proven ability to work on Global Deals
- Experience of managing global discount and rebate programmes
