Role description
The role of the Senior Corporate Services & Operations Commodity Specialist is to have full responsibility for their Commodity area and for all aspect of Procurement in relation to their Commodity (identification of supplier, correct specification of the product as per user requirements, price negotiation, contract terms, ordering, maintenance/support contracts, inventory management and disposal). Management of the total life cycle of the given product/service and relationships both internal and external.
This is a roaming role which will require both international and local travel complemented with home working arrangements
Who we're looking for
The Senior Corporate Services & Operations Commodity Specialist with in this financial services business will be based in Sheffield.
* You will be able to demonstrate robust indirect or direct category management process showing true commercial benefit to the organisation.
* Responsibility for assisting in the delivery of a specific commodity strategy
* Engaging and influencing at senior levels to support Commodity Strategies
* You will be managing the procurement of cash handling, cheque processing, transactional print, courier and logistics and document retention is desirable but not essential
