Summary:
To provide Specialist Procurement Consultancy and Supply Chain Commodity Management to UK and Worldwide clients. You will be responsible for implementing strategic sourcing plans for on-going supply management for Telecoms projects or for clients within the Telecoms industry. To lead and manage in line with each client's strategic direction, ensuring that Supplier engagement and contracts are commercial beneficial and risk balanced, while leading in terms of end customer Product/Service delivery. Undertaking sourcing selection projects for business units on a strategic basis, delivering lowest total cost of ownership, and ensuring qualified sources of supply and materials availability.
Responsibilities:
Deliver and implement the strategy for Procurement in line with the client's strategic direction. Procurement process for RFI, RFP, E-procurement, negotiation, Purchase Requisition/Order Management and supplier management in relevant categories Continually look to promote, develop and implement strategic improvements to the Procurement process for Key suppliers for the delivery of Product and Services Negotiation of terms and conditions and complex supplier contracts Establish customer requirements in relevant categories Lead procurement projects within your spend categories. Implement annual cost reduction plans and forecast category spend projections Implement supplier management strategies and sourcing plans that result in enhanced value, breakthrough total cost reduction and continuous improvement.
Optimise the contractual position with suppliers Establish procurement and supply-chain functions for clients from scratch Build strong, relationships with key suppliers. Reduce the number of suppliers within the key categories. Use industry information, benchmarking techniques and cost analysis to achieve best value. Manage supplier risk. First point of for suppliers problems - including shortages, lead time pull-in, cost and quality Undertake appropriate research and perform spend analysis, make-buy analysis
Required Qualifications and Experience :
Degree or equivalent in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, Engineering or related field Experience in procurement and/or supply chain management. (sourcing/supplier/commodity management of suppliers and negotiating contracts) Proven track record developing strategic and tactical plans based on business needs.
Experience in a continuous improvement environment - track record achieving savings year on year Highly numerate Good communicator at all levels, including CXE, heads of and within Supplier organisations.
Experience in maintaining supplier relationships Strong commercial awareness, negotiation and diplomacy skills and a collaborative style of working to accomplish objectives. Competent analytical, numerical, negotiation and financial management skills.
Ability to comprehend complex items related to customer, category and equipment specifications, contract terms and conditions, statements of work, engineering drawings and material specifications. Demonstrable experience delivering cost reduction on an annual basis.
Experience in a deadline-driven, rapidly changing environment.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
Completed or working towards the completion of CIPS/MCIPS Master's degree in Business, Procurement, Supply Chain, or related field.
Knowledge of Procure to Pay systems and E-procurement tools Procurement/Supply Chain experience in Telecoms Six Sigma/Lean and/or functional transformation programmes experience
