Band 6- Procurement Manager
An exciting opportunity has arisen for Procurement Manager within the Procurement Shared Service function for the Gloucestershire Health Community.
As part of a shared service covering three organisations across the county, the successful candidate will be responsible for influencing the annual spend for a Division and delivering significant improvements in value for money to achieve Divisional savings plans and contribute to wider organisational savings plans.
The successful candidate will be an individual with flair and commitment, who is capable of developing robust work plans and ensuring a commitment to a high quality service and continuous improvement. The role also requires leadership, development and management of a small Divisional team working to satisfy stakeholder requirements, producing high quality work, on time and in line with the organisational Standing Financial Instructions.
The successful candidate will have the appropriate qualifications (CIPS or equivalent) and a demonstrable track record of achievement within a complex and challenging financial environment. The role requires a thorough understanding of commercial issues and procurement techniques, including knowledge of current legislation, contract law and EU procurement directives.
