About the role
As the Messaging and Collaboration Team Leader you will be managing a team of 4, who are responsible for technologies including Microsoft Exchange 2010, Message Labs/Symantec Message Hygiene, Office 365, Microsoft Lync 2013, Microsoft SharePoint and a Legacy IBM Lotus Notes environment. You will need to have experience in messaging technologies with a proven track record of supporting production environments in a very fast paced company, which is spread across geographic locations. You will need to have a understanding of all elements which make up a messaging solution from end to end and have good experience of implementation, support, upgrade, decommissioning. You will need to have the ability to ensure that your set objectives are delivered within tight timescales and have proven track record in an ITIL driven environment. You will act as the technical escalation point for the team and have the ability to manage and field questions from senior management while managing expectations accordingly. You will need to have an understanding and work towards a strategy set out by senior management ensuring the team adhere to direction and execute tasks based on the priority of each task. You will need to be flexible when it comes to out of hours support during evenings and weekends.
About you
You will have previous experience of managing a team of people in order to achieve a set number of goals and objectives. You will enjoy the balance between people and technology management maintaining the day to day activities within the team. You will need to be qualified to MCP/MCSE + Messaging level (or MCITP) and ideally in Windows Server 2008/2012 with experience of supporting and transforming a number of key solutions including MS Exchange 2010, Lotus Domino, Office 365, TMG/UAG and Microsoft Lync 2013. You will need to be an expert in Messaging Strategy and understand the principles of supporting messaging systems in other geographic locations.
The ideal candidate will need to have an excellent understanding in the installation, configuration and maintenance of Microsoft Exchange 2010 and Office 365 along with an understanding of Microsoft SharePoint. Experience of Auto Discover, Certificates and DNS configuration and troubleshooting is required, along with the understanding of these technologies inside an enterprise network with hardware load balancing. Blackberry Enterprise services experience including Windows Mobile technologies is expected. Experience of IBM Lotus Notes Support & decommissioning will be advantageous in this role in order to transform the Legacy estate as part of a key business driver.
