A large Rail Operator is recruiting for a three Strategic Sourcing Manager to work on the Contracts & Procurement team and be based in Milton Keynes. They require two Strategic sourcing managers for Telecoms Technology and one Strategic Sourcing manager for Civils.
As Sourcing Manager your role is to work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver optimal commercial arrangements through the application of the companies' Strategic Sourcing framework.
The Facilities Management contract is being retendered and is worth c£120million over 5 years.
The new contract will also include Hospitality and Catering which are separate at the moment.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Manage staff, virtual teams and stakeholders in order to achieve agreed business priorities - be the key point of contact for sourcing and supplier performance management.
* Undertake collaborative working with stakeholders to develop appropriate and clear specifications that address the complete product / asset lifecycle.
* Develop effective sourcing and supplier performance management strategies that support the evolution of category management in the company in accordance with our Strategic Sourcing framework.
* Develop robust business-wide sourcing strategies including detailed supply market analysis that identifies trends and cost drivers etc.
* Deliver commercial and operational value to stakeholders through
* the innovative execution of defined strategies.
* Identify and respectfully challenge perceptions in order to realise opportunities for improvement in current procedures and contracts.
* Provide support to colleagues in the development and evolution of the Contracts & Procurement team aligned to the corporate values.
The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:
* Excellent understanding of procurement best practice, and the ability to develop sourcing strategies to deliver innovative and effective outcomes.
* Experience in the Rail industry or similar.
* Proven track record of benefits delivery through the application of strategic sourcing.
* Ability to draw conclusions from financial analysis for use in strategy development and supplier negotiation, including innovative approach to commercial models e.g. pricing/cost modelling.
* Demonstrable successful supplier performance and relationship management
* Deals with people with integrity, providing constructive feedback.
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Experience of introducing innovation to complex and inert/change adverse environments.
* Experience of eSourcing and eAuction systems.
* Good project management discipline.
* Proven commercial track record in an environment subject to EU procurement and competition law.
* Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status.
